New Textar lubricant, Hydra Tec, complements Textars hydraulic braking parts
Leverkusen, 12th July 2017. Brake specialist TMD Friction expands its Textar product range for brake repair and brake maintenance.
The newly invented lubricant ‘Hydra Tec’ for hydraulic components in brake and coupling systems is available now and is especially suitable for the greasing of cylinder running surfaces, pistons and sealing elements. Hydra Tec lubricates the hydraulic parts of the brake caliper components. With the help of the product, the brake piston can be easily pulled over the piston seal ring and the guide pins slide more easily through sliders on the pad carrier. Hydra Tec´s water repellent characteristic protects the running surfaces and other metallic components from corrosion, it is free from mineral oils and can be used with EPDM rubber as well as customary brake fluids like DOT 3, DOT 4, DOT 4LV, DOT 5.1. TMD Friction has proved the compatibility in several tests.
Hydra Tec is now available in stores in 180ml tubes. TMD Friction recommends to thinly and evenly coat the paste and to never use mineral oils or mineral oil based greases as their ingredients can let the seals swell and can impact the functionality of the brake caliper negatively. Hydra Tec complements TMD Friction´s portfolio for brake components and brake maintenance, which already includes various brake fluids as well as the metal-free, anti squeal lubricant Cera Tec for non hydraulic parts of brake pads and brake lining systems.
